it's time for a roll call. Who is still here and checking in once in a while? Go ahead and respond. This response will probably determine the future of the network and if we'll still be around or not.

Thanks!
Chris

Chris, I come here because I get a notification when someone posts.

So, my involvement is pretty "responsive". That is, I'm not initiating a lot of conversation here; simply responding to it.

I know that doesn't do much for the life of our little group here but, A) I don't use Ryze for anything else but this group and B.) Ryze is still stuck in their model of thinking that people are going to pay for social networking. Thus, this place is a ghost-town.

I'd like to continue participating but I'm not sure what suggestions to make.

I agree Tony. I'm not sure what the answer is either. The notification feature is a positive to Ryze, but that is one of the few. At a point in history, we created a rather large responsive group here and we all made some great connections, but as you said, Ryze is a ghost town these days.

Hi Chris.

I agree that Ryze is not moving forward because their are too many other FREE sites for networking.

http://peoplestring.com/emily22
http://viradyne.com/cashgiftmom that is still in pre-launch.

Both have ways to network and earn money with no investment.

Ryze needs to keep up with the times. You are the driving force behind this company and group so keep up the good work as long as it lasts.

First of all , it isn't RYZE that needs to keep up with the times, RYZE is just a vehicle. What needs to be done is, someone needs to be a sparkplug. In other words, get something exciting going. Other sites get personalities to join them, if you had a Lady Ga-Ga for instance, you would have instant popularity. Ehat is about as shallow as you can get, however. What is Serious MLM anyway? What is it's purpose for existing? What does it have to offer? Maybe it could develop into a think tank with some real solutions

I disagree wholeheaartedly. Ryze and every other social and business networking site does need to keep up with the times or they will fade into oblivion as many other sites have.

The Internet is continuing to evolve. Why not each of us?

I can tell you that it isn't personalities (ie Lady GaGa) who refer me business. It is the like-minded people with whom I associate. Whether I find these people on line or in person doesn't matter.

In my opinion, John, you are right about one thing and that is that we should display what we have to offer, ideas, products, etc. Maybe that would excite the group and enhance our reason for being.

Sharon,
You disagree that you need to have a sparkplug? Think about it. If someone comes up with interesting topics, everyone joins in. Most people here are lookers and fail to participate. You see, Chris and I have had this discussion before. Declining participation was the main reason that I gave up my own Network. At first E.A.S.Y. was extreamly popular and I did everything I could think of to stimulate it, to no avail. Here is something that might work, if everyone here would bring just one person to this network and encorage that person to particitate, I wonder what effect that would have?

Yep, I'm here.
I agree that Ryze is a dead man walking. Getting any high-profile people on here will only delay the decline.
Face it, MySpace could get Lady Gaga (to use the previously mentioned example) and it still wouldn't spur it past Facebook, right?
Same here. There's just little to excite.
Can we perhaps use the group as a round-robin for positive comments, likes, etc. on youtube videos? Or diggs? etc?

I'm still here and making contacts at least once or twice a week Chris...Not always from Serious MLM but from RYZE. It's just part of my daily Network mix.

Just posting your links and expecting people to respond does not work...You have to start a conversation with individuals not just spam the whole group. Plus - You need to occasionally post info that is helpful and not just about your business opportunity. As I have just done. ;o)

This is were I met my Sponsors / Mentors to my longest running and most profitable programs --> Chuck Bartok and Mark Hultgren with http://2gsm.biz/?64 !!

Jeff-
Of course I knew you were still hanging around! :) Yes you are correctly right that the "drive-by spamming" doesn't work and unfortunately there are way too many folks surfing around taking that approach, investing a lot of money in doing it, and then getting frustrated that it doesn't work. That is one reason we instituted the advertising rules we did on this network in an effort to help people realize you can't just spam but rather need to post meaningful information.

We've had quite a run here on Ryze. At one point we were probably one of if not THE most active network here but it took a lot of effort by a handful of people. I've met some fabulous folks through the years here and stay in touch with many of them.

Make it a great day!

Chris

Hi All,
If you say RYZE is dead, then you might as well say Serious MLM is dead, or how about the Internet is Dead! These are only vehicles to hold a person's interest, but are a part of the whole picture. While you are here on this Forum., Serious MLM, is for all intents and purposes, RYZE, it is the only site you should be concerned with at that particular moment in time. Have you done your part to contribute to it's success? What MORE could you do? We are all guilty of not doing all we can to help Chris here. Everyone has something to share, no matter how small that contribution might seem to be. Lively posts and conversation back and forth is what is going to keep this interesting Forum alive. When people see activity, they want to be a part of it. How about everyone sharing what they intend on doing this 4th of July Weekend, if it benefits your Business so much the better, but if you are just taking a break, to get away, that is important also. I will post mine but in a posting that is not so long. I have some exciting news to share.

As promised, I said I would share what I am doing. I am putting a Huge Vendor Fair/Grand Opening together for a Used Car Client. I am doing it all myself and over the past month, have done a great deal. What does this have to do with MLM, you might ask, but if you peruse through our list of vendors, you will see many MLM Vendors. In giving them a selling platform, I am helping them to build their downlines. How many of you utilize Craft and Vendor Shows? I still have room in this one, anyone want to travel? Our Vendor Space is only $25 for the entire 2 day weekend with $5 for electrical cut-in. Below is an Ad that is currently running on Albany, NY CraigsList General Community. This is exciting!

Call 518-495-5907 RIGHT NOW to avoid being locked out. This will be the Event of the Year and our Vendor Space is severly restricted!
Hi, John from Credit-On-Cars in Johnstown here and Yes, we are gearing up for our Huge Grand Opening July 30-31! But what is a Grand Opening really, Well to us, it is an opportunity to show everyone a fantastic good time, with no strings attached. It also gives us a chance to meet the community at large in a friendly non-sales atmosphere. Many businesses forget this, and do little to attract the General Public, oh yes, they break out the hot dogs and hamburgs, maybe a few balloons and They call this a Grand Opening. LMAO! And then they wonder why nobody comes to it! Well, my friend, there is a secret to getting people to come to your affair. People want to be shown a GOOD TIME! We have been planning our Event for months, right down to the most minute detail, and a large amount of money has been spent to insure it's success. Just to show you, we are still a month away and here is what we have lined up JUST FOR YOU:

Our Vendors already on board include:
Arbonne; Indian Jewelry; Avon; Rainbow Vacuums; Sports Cards; Tupperware; Kid's Novelties; Noni; HandCrafts; Palm Reader; Ornamental; Dec. Sewing; Glassware; Tapestry; Expressive Jewelry; Cotton Candy; Popcorn; Kids Books; GemStones; Scentsy; Mary Kay; Celebrate Home; Partylite; Shush Shoes; PamperChef; Ambit Energy; Egyptian Comfort Seat Sets; Tastefully Simple; Beaded Jewelry; Shampoodle; Pop-Pops Ice Cream Truck with the Bubblelator. We also Have Divine Swine for the Pig Roast and a Bounce House for the kids, Plus we are giving away FREE, a Mini Razor Pocket Rocket Scooter. This is a Minature Version of a motorcyle called a Crotch Rocket but this is made for the little guy or gal in your life, is Electric, will travel up to 10 miles on a single charge and has a top speed of 15 MPH.

Many of our Vendors will be conducting demonstrations. Speaking of that, do you know how to cook and carve a pig? Mr. Quinn of Divine Swine will be happy to demonstrate. He will also have a well diversified menu for those of you that would rather eat other foods. Also most Bounce Houses just sit there like a lump, we are adding music to ours, just this small feature makes the Bounce House something new and exciting

Watch for our exciting Ads in the Gloversville Leader-Herald Saturday July 16, and the Mohawk Valley Edition of My Shopper (Week of July 24). These are the only places that you will find the Contest forms you will need to have a chance to win the Mini Pocket Rocket. You will need to follow the simple directions and then BRING THAT ENTRY FORM TO OUR GRAND OPENING JULY 30-31 between the hours of 9AM-Dark either day.

Now where is this Exciting Grand Opening? It is going to be at CREDIT-ON-CARS 166 E State Street (Rtes 67 & 30A) in Johnstown, NY 12095. Our Phone Number is
518-762-3626. Below is picture of Mini Razor Pocket Rocket that we are giving away. You will have to check out the entry forms in the Leader-Herald and My Shopper to see how EASY it is to win this Exciting Prize. Every Kid wants it! The Pocket Rocket is on display at CREDIT-ON-CARS and may be seen during regular business hours.

Hi Chris

I'm still here, too.

I like Ryze and make good contacts but as Jeff
pointed out correctly you need to have conversations.
Just posting adds or posting into others forum
will not get you what you want.

Wish you all a Save and Happy 4th of July

Hi folks,

I check in when alerted to do so by email. Otherwise, I do not anymore.

The most potentially genuinely useful aspect of any forum or site is the ability to ask a question of the group, not self promotion. (You can do that in your signature.)

But since numbers are down now, not many answers.

May I use the occasion to ask a question now? Do you know of any blogs, sites that direct you to MANY free downloadable goodies? There must be someone out there who collected links to truly free trainings. e-books, audios, and so forth.

I know we see free stuff all the time, but rarely do we assemble good notes on them. I'd like to absolutely overwhelm some opt-ins with a lot of free things every ten days or so.

And Chris, as leader here, it is incumbent upon you to stimulate discussion almost every day, if you want it to sprout up again. That's just the way life works.

Walt

Walt-
I agree that the daily discussion stimulation is needed to create a hopping network. Trust me, I've been there before and know what it takes to make a very active network on Ryze. At one point this network was one of if not the most active on Ryze. Quite frankly right now I'm just taking stock to see how many folks are actually here and willing to participate and if the effort would be worth the time.

Make it a great day!
